In the late 1870s, Mormon colonists had been sent by church leaders to pioneer new settlements along Arizona’s Little Colorado River. As the new settlements were remote and isolated, many goods and services could only be obtained from the established Mormon communities of southern Utah.   After 1877, the Arizona Mormon settlers also traveled to St. George, Utah to conduct church business and have their marriage vows solemnized in the newly-completed St. George Temple. So many newlyweds traveled the wagon road that it came to be known as “the Honeymoon Trail”.

The 1400 sq/ft sandstone themed suite at the Honeymoon Trail Inn will take your breath away! Start a flash flood in the slot canyon shower featuring  a 14 foot high, 10 inch rain head and his and hers shower heads with body sprays.  Need a soak? Try soaking in the oversized copper tub with air jets and embedded in sandstone rock.  The heart of the suite is a king size bed that rests in an old Spanish bell tower, highlighted by a 10 foot high dome.  The loft area features seating for company, games or reading a book from the library. Also enjoy TV on the 42 inch flat screen with surround sound. Automated lighting controls with settings that mimic a starry night.  Need a quick snack?  The new kitchenette addition with dining area and 12 foot stone gas fireplace and wet wall wil accommodate your cravings.
